CONVENTIONAL AND HIGH-ENERGY SPECTROSCOPIES FOR INORGANIC, ORGANIC AND BIOMOLECULAR SURFACES AND INTERFACES
An unconventional school for PhD students and young investigators
Florence, December 2 - 6 2019
Aims of the School and Topics
The School on CONVENTIONAL AND HIGH-ENERGY SPECTROSCOPIES FOR INORGANIC, ORGANIC AND BIOMOLECULAR SURFACES AND INTERFACES is focused on the spectroscopic and morphological characterization of surfaces and solid interfaces of any possible composition.
A number of instrumental techniques is presented by experts in the field. The first two days provide an overview of the most diffused spectroscopies and microscopies for surface analysis. The third and fourth days introduce synchrotron facilities and related spectroscopies. Special attention is paid at encouraging non expert users to apply for having access to synchrotron spectroscopies / beam-lines. The last day of the school is mostly devoted to spatially resolved microscopies and spectroscopies
Audience
The target audience of this School is preferably composed by PhD students and young researchers.
Certificates and exams
A certificate of attendance will be provided to all of the participants to the School. Moreover, a final exam will be available for those students who are requested by their Institution to take it.
