– How to reach us –

The conference will be held in the Auditorium of "Università degli Studi di Firenze - Centro Didattico Morgagni", Viale Giovanni Battista Morgagni, 40, 50134 Firenze (FI), Italy. LINK to Google MAPS. [To be confirmed]

The conference venue is easily reachable using the T1 tram (stop "Morgagni - university"). 

The T1 line (sometimes referred to as T1.3) connects the historical city centre  and the main Firenze S. M. Novella train station (Alamanni Stazione stop) with Careggi hospital (final stop). Trams run every 5-10 minutes and the journey takes about 20 minutes. For information about trams visit gestramvia.it 

 

There are many bus stops in the proximity of the location:  "Morgagni", "Alderotti Grocco", "Santo Stefano in Pane" and "Panciatichi Dalmazia". Some of the main bus lines to the city centre are 20, 33, 40, 43 and 56. For information about city bus visit at-bus.it 

 

Alternatively, the nearest railway station is "Firenze Rifredi" from where you can reach the conference venue in about 10 minutes by walk. Firenze Rifredi station is connected to the main "Firenze S. M. Novella" station with trains leaving every 10-15 minutes. More details on the train schedule are available at trenitalia.com

How to reach Florence

From most European countries, Florence can be easily reached by plane  directly at Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport. From the airport it is possible to reach the centre of Florence by tram T2 (approx. 25 minutes). 

Alternatively, the nearest airports are those of Pisa and Bologna. For participants coming from non-European countries, the main Italian airports are located in Milan and Rome.

Different types of trains such as regional trains and high-speed trains connects the principal Italian cities. The main railway station in Florence is "Firenze S. M. Novella", the nearest station to the congress venue is "Firenze Rifredi". Tickets and information at  trenitalia.com  


– Social Events –

In the context of the conference, in addition to scientific appointments, meetings and award ceremonies, social events are planned. The tentative programme includes:

  • Lunches on 10 and 11 April
  • A social dinner in a renowned Tuscan restaurant
  • An excursion to a prestigious Florentine museum on the morning of the 12 of April

The organization of EDNANO-16 is chaired by Walter  Giurlani toghether with Massimo Innocenti, Marco Pagliai, Claudio Fontanesi, Antonio De Luca, Marco Bonechi, Giulio Pappaianni, Fabio Biffoli, Elena Mariani and all the other members of the Laboratory of Applied Electrochemistry
